What are we looking for?
A talented and passionate SRE to join our Dating team. Currently, Dating has 10 high-volume sites with more than 100K users per day. As part of the Dating team, you will be helping our product team to design, build and scale their infrastructure to support millions of hits per hour. big volumes = big challenge!
What will you do?
Design, build and maintain our AWS infrastructure and On-Premise services
Work closely with the development team to establish best practices related with infrastructure as code and CI/CD
Help the development team building and maintaining the dev and test environments
Act as the point of contact for the corporate Platform team
Help define, and manage SLOs. Setting up monitoring and alerting based on related SLIs
Foster a culture of blameless postmortem procedures
Requirements
Profound knowledge of DevOps principles and culture
Experience using cloud providers (AWS)
Deep knowledge using containerized applications (Docker amp; Kubernetes) in production environments
Experience with monitoring and alerting systems (Datadog, PagerDuty...)
Knowledge configuring CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI, Jenkins, Github, ...)
Nice to have competences
Background in software engineering. Development principles and understanding of software development lifecycle
Experience of performing migrations from EC2/bare metal to Kubernetes
Knowledge of distributed systems architecture
Experience with Linux system administration
Experience using configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Packer)
Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB)
