As a DevOps Engineer, you will maintain and improve our infrastructure, develop automation tools, and manage our cloud-based systems. You will work closely with the development team to ensure seamless code and infrastructure change integration in our international projects!
Our Spain branch works in a dynamic, multicultural environment, embracing a culture that values quality code and communicating effectively in English daily. Your role will include, but not be limited to:
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer, focusing on Nix and related tools.
- Experience working with reproducible multi-arch builds.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools, such as GitLab CI or Jenkins.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with observability platforms such as Prometheus and/or Grafana.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English.
- Availability to overlap at least 4 hours with the US time zone. You'll work alongside a multicultural amp; international team within the US, Ecuador, and Europe!
- Applicants must obtain work authorization in the country of employment since we cannot sponsor work visas.
Nice to have:
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS or GCP.
What will you do?
- Collaborate with developers and other team members to build and maintain infrastructure and automation tools.
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based systems using Nix and other tools.
- Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines using Nix and/or other automation tools.
- Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure and automation tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and automation issues.
- Contribute to our open-source tooling and libraries, such as our deployment tool, Hapistrano.
- Contribute to internal and external community initiatives to keep expanding our brand awareness in Spain.
- Keep refining your technical expertise while participating actively in our tech training, book clubs, conferences, and other dynamic team-building events.
