Job Description

La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel, is recruiting a Recepcionist to join the team in Deia, a small village in the UNESCO protected Serra de Tramuntana in the West of the island of Mallorca, Spain.

A day in the life of a Recepcionist at La Residencia consists of resumen:

OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

Provide the guests with the best service on their arrival to the hotel, during their stay and after their departure, through professional assistance and a positive attitude at all times.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Receptionist at La Residencia strives to exceed guests expectations, provides assistance with any request our guests might have, anticipates guests needs by offering personalized service and makes the satisfaction of the guest his/her first priority.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • Perform check-in amp; check-out following LQA standards
  • Provide a delightful arrival experience showing the hotel and escorting the guest to the room
  • Make sure every guest request is fulfilled in a timely manner and it is not left unattended
  • Communicate with porters Team to ensure an efficient luggage assistance
  • Communicate with Housekeeping/Famp;B/Engineering to coordinate guest experience
  • Actively use Infor, Alice, The fork, Book4Time and our internal software/app
  • Be on top of our email inbox and reply in a timely and professional manner.
  • Handle guests complaints ensuring appropriate assistance is offered and follow up is always granted by a supervisor/manager
  • Answer the phone following LQA standards and provide the best assistance
  • Perform charges, payments and discounts, making sure every charge in the guest bill is clear and correct at all time
  • Manage cash float according to the local law and hotel rules
  • Assist the guest with reservations of internal and external services (restaurants, tennis classes, art classes, transportation, boat rental..)
  • Prepare amenities according to guests preferences, write personalized notes and arrange special surprises/gifts on occasion
  • Partecipate team meetings and work with your colleagues towards common goals
  • Show a thorough knowledge of La Residencia, its history, the location of the rooms, and the storytelling of the hotel and the area.
  • Cooperate effectively with every team member of the hotel, especially with FO amp; Concierge team
  • Strive to exceed guests expectations and to boost guests satisfaction
  • Follow hotel rules and guidelines at all time and LQA standards during all FO procedures

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: higher / post graduate

• ACADEMIC DEGREE: Bachelor degree will be positively evaluated

TECHNICAL ABILITIES, SYSTEM KNOWLEDGE AND TRAININGS RECEIVED

  • ENGLISH LEVEL: Advanced
  • SPANISH LEVEL: Advanced
  • KNOWLEDGE OF WORD Intermediate
