Job Description
We are expanding our Sidra Data Platform team and, although we don’t care much about titles, we call this role Technical Presales Engineer. The key requirements for the position are experience both with building data products and with managing the sales cycle of a data solution, from initial technical conversations to proposal building.
Below you will find information about us; if you already know Plain Concepts, you will be aware that we are mostly a professional services company providing bespoke solutions to our customers. However, we do many other things, and in this particular case, we seek to expand our Sidra Data Platform team, which is a product team focused on our own Data Platform.

What will you do?
- Meet with our potential customers, identifying their needs by performing technical consultancy and developing the right proposal/PoC.
- Interact with our existing customers to act as a Customer Success engineer, ensuring they are using our platform to its full extent.
- Work with our reseller partners to aid them and support them with the technical proposals.
- Delivering training and workshops for our customers.
- Help improve our product by providing feedback on how Sidra is used on the field, what works and what needs to be improved, which features we need to prioritize, etc.
Requirements
What are we looking for?
- Strong technical knowledge of modern software data platforms, especially Databricks.
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft’s Azure.
- Experience working with customers’ requirements and their technical proposals.
- Excellent communication skills both in English and Spanish.
- Experience working with Scrum methodology.
- Strong customer orientation with a sense of innovation and technology.
- Constant desire to learn about the product and technological innovations.
- Team player with ability to cooperate and to work within the different teams at Sidra.
