Job Description

Ryanair’s Legal amp; Regulatory Affairs Department deals with a wide range of legal and regulatory issues, both at the national level across Ryanair’s network and at European level. The Department is also responsible for Company Secretarial and Public Affairs duties.

The Legal amp; Regulatory Affairs Department is now offering a full-time position to a legal / regulatory affairs professional who is a lawyer qualified in an EU jurisdiction and / or in possession of a law degree from an EU university.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team and be expected to:

  • Manage court and administrative proceedings, at both EU and national levels;
  • Manage a range of regulatory issues;
  • Review legal briefs, correspondence and position papers;
  • Interact with and manage outside counsel.

Requirements

  • 3+ years relevant experience working in a commercial environment;
  • Experience in competition law;
  • Excellent reasoning and drafting skills;
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills;
  • The ability to learn quickly and show initiative;
  • Fluency in English.


The following, while not essential, will be an advantage:

  • An LL.M in EU law
  • Knowledge of one of the major European languages in addition to English
  • Understanding of Economics and business
  • Understanding of the aviation industry


The successful candidate will be based in Ryanair’s Madrid Office.
