JOB SUMMARY

We are searching for a UX Researcher with the experience, skills, knowledge, resilience and passion to embed best-in-class research practices into the heart of our product design strategy and our product development process.

As a crucial part of the product design team, you will ensure that all our products and features are appropriately researched and validated, with suitable participants, using the correct methods.

You will partner with product managers, designers and engineers to ensure that we correctly identify and solve our customers’ problems, remove their pain points and address their unmet needs.

This is a unique opportunity to establish a robust research capability, and establish product research as a cornerstone of our product development process. With the full support of our executive team, you will ultimately help generate intellectual property for Inspectorio, and establish research as one of our competitive advantages.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and execute custom research plans to support our overall strategic objectives
  • Conceptualize and deliver on a wide range of projects across different research stages e.g. generative, descriptive, iterative, and evaluative.
  • Collaborate with other product team partners to define design goals and to prepare, conduct and execute appropriate testing of problem statements, prototypes and other design assets
  • Build relationships with customers and form a recruitment pool of potential research participants
  • Manage the recruitment, facilitation and execution of various types of user studies
  • Own, maintain, validate and evangelize our customer personas
  • Create and maintain a relevant, searchable repository of past research in Confluence
  • Partner with design, product, and other colleagues to design and execute appropriate research studies to validate assumptions and generate user-focused insights
  • Design and execute a variety of research studies, for example usability testing, contextual enquiry, concept tests, user interviews, diary studies, etc.
  • Create low-fidelity wireframes, task hierarchies, user journeys or other design artifacts to illustrate user needs and possible solutions
  • Analyze and synthesize both quantitative and qualitative data to uncover themes and drive product and design decisions
  • Identify and conduct discovery research into areas of potential interest, and create problem statements
  • Create a research framework and principles, and provide appropriate guidance and coaching, so that other product team members are confidently able to conduct solid research


REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years experience conducting user research in a SAAS or digital product environment
  • Master’s degree or above in a research-related field such as Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Human Computer Interaction (or comparable work experience).
  • Fluency in business English is a must.
  • Portfolio of previous research demonstrating broad knowledge of research methodologies and the proven ability to execute research, deliver findings and positively affect outcomes


SKILLS amp; EXPERIENCES

  • Expertise in planning and executing a variety of qualitative, quantitative, attitudinal and behavioral research methods, such as user interviews, contextual enquiry, usability testing, heuristic analysis, surveys, A/B testing, data analytics, and many more
  • Highly autonomous, with the ability to independently identify research goals and methodologies, to recruit users, facilitate studies and present results to the right stakeholders
  • Humble and friendly, enthusiastically willing to respond to requests for research support from a variety of teams, across products
