Job Description

We’re looking for a Country Lead to head up Sprinque’s expansion in Spain. Sprinque is on a mission to help businesses grow safely in a digital world. We are making it possible for businesses to pay for purchases on terms that suit them, and to enable merchants to use credit and payments as a strategic tool to build a thriving B2B ecommerce business.

As the Country Lead of Spain, you will be part of the Sprinque management team and own the commercial launch and expansion of Sprinque in the Spanish market. You will be responsible for creating brand awareness for Sprinque, for generating sales leads with local B2B merchants, platforms and marketplaces, and for developing partnerships with platforms, payment service providers and others.

LOCATION

You will be based in Spain. We are a remote-first company, but we are looking to establish a local hub in the future where teams can meet and work if they want to. There will also be some travel to Amsterdam or other locations for company events and to meet other members of the Sprinque team.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Own the Spanish market for Sprinque.
  • Become a specialist on trends and developments related to B2B ecommerce and use this knowledge to shape the commercial roadmap for Spain.
  • Develop a Go-to-Market strategy for the Spanish market and will communicate this to the wider Sprinque team.
  • Identify target sectors and customers and you will develop a plan for winning these customers for Sprinque.
  • Speak with (potential) customers and develop a deep understanding of our B2B merchant stakeholders and their customers.
  • Gather product requirements from Spanish B2B merchants, platforms and marketplaces and work closely with the Sprinque commercial, product, and engineering teams to implement these requirements.
  • Identify potential partners and develop the partnership from beginning to end.
  • Build and manage local sales, marketing, and customer success teams and resources to execute the Go-to-Market strategy. You will create local marketing content and sponsor local events to develop brand awareness for Sprinque and our mission.
  • Work closely together with all internal Sprinque teams to get merchants live.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B SaaS, Payments or Fintech sales experience, where you have built or managed a sales team.
  • Experienced in building and leading cross-functional commercial teams (across support, sales, marketing, etc.).
  • Passionate about fintech and payments, and you obsess over customers and customer experience.
  • A strong communicator (written and verbal) and clearly communicate your vision for the Spanish market to the wider team.
  • You are a self-starter, you learn fast, you know how to prioritize - you focus on what is mission-critical and you get things done.
  • Ideally, you have prior experience starting a new venture, whether successful or not.
  • You have a strong business network in Spain.
  • You are excited about the opportunity to start and build a B2B fintech/payments business from scratch in the Spanish market.
  • You are a native Spanish speaker and you are currently based in Spain.
