The Data Protection Officer (DPO) is responsible for advising the Company and educating its employees and staff on important compliance requirements, training employees and staff involved in data processing, and participating to regular security audits. The DPO also serves as the point of contact between the company and customers, data subjects, vendors and Supervisory Authorities for any query related to personal data. The Company shall seek the advice of the DPO before implementing or carrying out any new process relative to sensitive or special categories of data (personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, genetic or biometric data or data concerning health). TFS DPO is included within the Legal/Compliance department and reporting to the Director Legal for administrative management work but is performing his/her tasks independently without receiving instructions regarding the advices he/she provides.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and practices. General experience in data protection and legal compliance
- Familiar with our industry and the nature of its data processing operations and the level of data protection required for the personal data processed by data controllers and data processors.
- Familiar with performing audits and computer security systems.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to remain independent and report all non-compliances.
- Communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
