  • Focus on driving continuous improvement and efficiencies in production planning and developing team members
  • Oversee prescription processing activities and workflow in a fast-paced, independent, closed-door pharmacy
  • Ensure staff receives training on process changes and as needed to maintain quality, accreditation, regulatory, HIPAA and efficiency standards
  • Verify prescriptions - with majority electronic
  • Monitor patient profile intake for completeness and safety
  • Check every order for DUR or clinical redflags
  • Maintain confidence in making decisions with patient safety first and foremost
  • Assist patients with consultations
  • Manage, oversee and work with a large team including technicians, data entry, and warehouse personnel to fulfill orders efficiently and accurately (team of 10+)
  • Manage the communications, planning, scheduling, and assigning of work for the team
  • Ensure security of the facility
  • Promptly assist client/patient’s phone calls/inquiries
  • Work collaboratively with other managers/directors in cross-functional groups
  • Adapt quickly to technological changes
  • Assist in any duties necessary to ensure the functionality and compliance of the business per state and Non-Resident States regulations
  • Establish metrics, reports, and dashboards to track performance against improvement targets
  • Reward and recognize performance and execute on progressive discipline as needed
QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES:
  • Active state RPh license
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a licensed pharmacist
  • Preferred: Minimum 1-year experience in a management role and/or as PIC
  • Must be in good standing with Board of Pharmacy
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Proficient in all aspects of pharmacy law, policies, and procedures
  • Effective communication skills and a strong sense of teamwork
  • Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations surrounding pharmacy including facility inspection and licensing processes
  • Experience building a pharmacy team - including but not limited to recruiting, interviewing, and hiring (Pharmacists, Technicians, and Interns)
  • Willingness to working varying schedules
  • Community/retail experience is preferred for work pace
  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement
  • Experience with the employee life cycle (interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, and terminations)
  • Experience managing high-volume pharmacy operationsExperience developing and managing pharmacy fulfillment centers
EXPECTED COMPETENCY:
  • Overall Leadership over pharmacy location
  • Knowledgeable in applicable State Dispensing Laws
  • Managerial Oversight of Pharmacy amp; Practice
  • Participate and Prepare for Insurance and State Board Audits
