About the role:
We are looking for an Engineering Manager with a passion of people and software engineering. You'll develop, manage and enhance a software development team between 7-9 engineers.
You will establish ways to complete team deliveries with great quality, creating communication channels, promoting productivity and autonomy, proper resource and time management.
The ideal candidate will possess strong soft and technical skills, and a passion for applying their expertise the best way.
You will:
- Drive an engineering team remotely across multiple locations.
- Board hands-on experience with Backend and Infrastructure technologies.
- Enhance software engineers by long-term career development, coaching them with regular check-ins and 1-1s.
- Release and communicate objectives from start to finish.
- Collaborate with engineers in team brainstorming, decision-making, architectural structures.
- Able to keep the Head of Engineering, you team and key stakeholders informed, connected and engage with Engineering challenges.
- Profiling project after being launched, taking care of telemetry and logging.
Requirements
- Effective and clear communication.
- Hands-on people management and technical leadership.
- Experience with backend technologies (PHP, Node, Go), CI, CD and best practices is a plus.
- Several years of experience in software development with complex systems and high volume of request/s
- Experience with distributed system communication, event driven, performance analysis and optimization.
- Adaptable and eager to learn.
- English is a must.
