Main Purpose of the role
We carry with pleasure the great responsibility of expanding Truphone's global network footprint. We work hard on improving and diversifying our footprint solutions and take pride for providing high quality services. Our company trusts us in delivering innovative and complex projects as well as operating our scope. Our work is very diverse, and we take the initiative to understand the context and requirements of why and what we're working on to be able to then design and deploy iteratively our solution. We also frequently engage with other teams on cross-functional projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and configure SIM cards with specific footprint configuration.
- Enable signaling routing between Truphone and the international roaming partner.
- Assist International partners and perform common tests during standard roaming tests: IR.24 for Voice and Short Message testing, IR.25 VoLTE Roaming Testing, IR.38 LTE and EPC Roaming Testing, IR.60 for Prepaid testing.
- Validate International partners IREG testing results.
- Support the troubleshooting, or queries from international roaming partners, that may arise relating to the IREG testing phase.
- Assist Truphone Wholesale team in TAP files/TADIG testing validation process.
- Rollout basic configurations for roaming services (HLR/HSS,DRA, and STP).
- Prepare footprint changes by coding related scripts and trigger rules.
- Define and configure each footprint related info.
- Test and rollout campaigns for footprint changes.
- Troubleshoot footprint related issues and report failures to the related partners.
- Build reports for following OTA campaigns and document footprint changes.
Requirements
- Familiar with Mobile Networks and its architecture.
- Good understanding on GSM, UMTS, LTE and 5G related technologies, systems and protocols.
- Experience in network protocols like MAP, CAMEL, SIGTRAN, DIAMETER, ISUP, SIP.
- Experience of International Roaming testing processes.
- Experience with testing with SIGOS tool and analyzing related test results.
- Knowledge of SQL and/or SMS APDUs will be valued.
- Hands on operational and delivery experience with maintenance and implementation of solutions in live and lab environments.
- Able to anticipate needs. Anticipates problems and addresses them before they cause impact.
- Ability to work in complex environments (multi-cultural/multi-country/geographically distributed teams).
