Job Description

Ontruck was founded in order to develop technologies which will make the road freight experience a smooth and efficient one for both truckers and for companies who send shipments.

We do this by drastically reducing the amount of empty kilometers traveled by goods vehicles, therefore optimising their use and occupancy. Thanks to our product, hauliers secure loads more easily and companies who send shipments can do so quickly and comfortably. All this while contributing to conserving the environment by reducing CO2 emissions.

The role

We are looking for an Intern to help our Back Office Operations team in our Spanish business. You would be helping with the efficient running of some our key administrative processes with our Carriers:

  • Working with the Carriers Acquisition team to map the current back office activities in Spain and then establish standardized processes that would allow Ontruck to provide a better and more consistent experience to our carriers network, while lowering the cost to serve.
  • Maintaining the carriers database to Ontruck's Operating standards
  • Ensuring that all inquiries coming from Carriers through different channels - predominantly managed through Zendesk ticketing system - are successfully resolved in a timely manner
  • Ensuring the active Carriers profiles are updated with the latest information provided by the carriers (e.g. incorporating changes in vehicle details, addition of new vehicles, etc.)
  • Working with the Product and Marketing teams to further automate the above processes, and find new ways of working.
  • Together with the Carriers Acquisition team, plan the roll-out of all back-office activities to the remaining countries covered by Ontruck (including setting the rest of the team, and communications channels with local operations teams
  • Support the Live traffic amp; Fleet teams.
  • Manage post-transit extra cost incidents and inform our clients by ticketing or email.
  • Manage pre-transit and preparation tasks.
  • Data entry of work orders in Ontruck system and gatekeeping to ensure quality.
  • Admin work to request delivery slots on big platforms.


Requirements

  • Studying towards a degree in Logistics amp; Supply Chain/Business Administration or similar.
  • Commercial acumen and energy. Any previous experience within a operations environment is a plus.
  • Excellent communicator, both written and oral
  • Administration and organization skills.
  • Fluent Spanish and good English language skills.
  • Available for a 6 month internship in Madrid. This can either be full-time or 5-6 hours per day during the mornings.
