Job Description

AREX is a new smart way for small businesses to turn their sales receivables into working capital. We’re aiming to level the competitive playing field between SMEs and larger corporates by plugging the 200 billion yearly financing gap that currently hampers businesses growth in Europe and disrupt the 3 trillion factoring market. Since 2018, AREX has provided over +300 million worth of financing to SMEs growing double digits month-on-month. We have a new stream of world class partners and are in the process of rolling out our services to new territories including the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands and Spain.

AREX operates a two-sided marketplace where SMEs and institutional investors trade in B2B receivables. Platform investors play a key role in the AREX ecosystem and with origination volumes growing fast, and we are looking for a talented and ambitious individual to lead the charge to ensure sufficient platform liquidity. AREX operates in a fiercely competitive market with many investment opportunities available to investors. The successful candidate will need to be creative in his/her approach in positioning the AREX value proposition within the financing ecosystem.

Under the direct supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, the Investor Lead will be expected to:

  • Manage relationship with the existing investor base (family offices, asset managers, hedge funds, HNWIs etc.) on the platform
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of reports, reviews and forecasts of key metrics
  • Communicate monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify, engage and onboard new institutional investors to the AREX platform
  • Engage with supranational institutions (British Business Bank, European Investment Fund etc) with the objective of building long term partnerships

Requirements

Must Have

  • Extensive (+5 years) experience selling (alternative) credit products into an institutional investor base
  • A proven track record of business origination from an institutional investor base
  • Demonstrates flexibility and creativity in achieving their objectives
  • Strong knowledge of the European alternative credit space
  • Outstanding communication skills. Fluent in English
  • Ready to work in a dynamic and challenging start-up environment

Good to Have

  • Fluency in another European language
