About the Role

The Commercial Manager will work alongside Highview’s resident Country Manager for Iberia to assess the Iberian energy landscape and eligibility of storage projects for EU funding in order to articulate and promote the business case for LAES in respect of specific projects. Additionally, the Commercial Manager will act as project manager as and when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and assess business cases working closely with multiple functions including Engineering, Procurement, Oamp;M and Finance
  • Identify revenue streams and providers
  • Assess the competitiveness of the LAES comparing alternatives
  • Review project location suitability and provide alternatives if required
  • Identify key project costs
  • Develop key sensitivities and a risk matrix
  • Identify and navigate regulatory hurdles in the way of commercialising LAES projects
  • Negotiate partnership agreements securing a development and equity role for HVP
  • Evaluate bankability identifying and actioning any measures required to make a project bankable
  • Support and deputise for the project manager across multiple projects
  • Prioritise projects according to clear and reasoned methodology
  • Manage project progress through various milestones within Highview
  • Produce regular progress reports for specific projects

Requirements

Essential

  • Degree qualified in Business, Energy or Engineering
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Significant experience gained from a commercial role within the energy industry where you have been involved in delivering Power Generation, Renewable Energy or Energy Storage projects to financial close

Desirable

  • Project Management qualifications
  • Project Management experience
