As the Commercial Director you will be joining the early team at Blok and be responsible to shape both the central and the country's commercial strategies and teams. You will report directly to the COO and will be responsible for the definition of our purchasing, pricing and category definition, globally.


In particular, you will:

  • Set the goals and strategic direction for the global commercial division as the company expands rapidly
  • Use data, local knowledge and your own expertise to define our Category strategy globally: What do we sell in each store, city and country.
  • Provide support and advice to local teams on the best logistic and supply chain practices to reduce costs / increase margins
  • Set up and coordinate strategic partnerships to enhance our margins and/or our brand positioning
  • Set up and coordinate our revenue strategy, globally: How to price, promote and place our products
  • Hire a first-in-class central team that will support the definition and coordination of the purchasing, logistics, category and partnerships areas, and oversee the hiring of the local commercial teams.



Requirements

Requirements:
  • 7+ years in B2C sector leading large supply chains and supplier networks.
  • A strong understanding of the grocery market in Europe, and a willingness to disrupt it
  • A data driven mentality, able to use data to make strategic decisions
  • Previous experience in building and leading large, first-in-class teams
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, for one of the fastest-growing startups in the region.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish. Another language is a plus.
