Do you know why it’s called new space?

ICEYE is building and operating its own commercial constellation of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data already available to customers. These satellites can take images of Earth at any time even when it’s cloudy or dark. Information derived from these images will help our customers understand the world better and help them make more intelligent decisions. We launched the world’s first SAR microsatellite in January 2018 and have raised $152M in financing to date.

To support the growth of the company, we are now looking for a Composite Structures Analyst to support our Lightweight Structures team based in the South of Spain.

As a Composite Structures Analyst, you will work closely with the Principal Mechanical Engineer to support key Ramp;D projects. You will also interact closely with the supply chain team to ensure good workflow and streamline production.

The role:

  • Analysis of complex composite structures
  • Optimization of existing designs
  • Test correlation of sub-assemblies and complete structures
  • Contribute to the development of analysis methodologies

Your skillset and background:

  • Masters's degree in aerospace/mechanical engineering or similar
  • Experience with with NASTRAN/Hyperworks amp; Autodesk Inventor (Autodesk)
  • Experience with airframe analysis (Structural stability, fatigue amp;damage tolerance)
  • Knowledge about composite materials (Design and manufacturing principles)
  • Proficient level of English (B2-level)
