Job Description

You will:

  • Work within customer projects to build, maintain and secure customer environments
  • Assist development teams in best practices and give technical advice on infrastructure architecture when needed
  • Ensure development processes follow our infrastructure standards for existing and new clients.
  • Work on new ways to automate and improve our development and release processes
  • Ensure that client systems are secure against cybersecurity threats
  • Identify areas of cost optimisation within internal and customer architectures
  • Provide a Point of Contact (POC) for the NOC, ensuring an aspect of the 09:00 18:00 support range is manned and 18:00-02:00 if needed for deployments
  • Be responsible to the Head of Systems and DevOps for the end-to-end management and control of all service events in 3rd line
  • Act as a third-party supplier liaison on behalf of the Support Teams to resolve issues and provide knowledge and information
  • Offer help, guidance, and expertise to assist in the restoration of services to users in line with business requirements and SLA’s
  • Manage Service Requests and routing or escalating to relevant staff
  • Be responsible for the production and upkeep of support documentation, where appropriate
  • Be accountable for Customer Delivery through the NovaFori Change process

Requirements

You have:

  • Working experience in AWS (Web Services, VPC, Load Balancing, Capacity Planning, Cost Management, Server Optimisation, Server Configuration, Backup and Disaster Recovery, CDN, DNS). Azure is a plus.
  • Infrastructure as code. Experience using Terraform. CloudFormation and Chef are a plus.
  • CI/CD administration, usage, and creation of pipelines as code. Experience using Octopus would be desirable.
  • Experience using SQL Server, Couchbase or any other RDBMS.
  • Experience using RabbitMQ and Elastic Search.
  • PowerShell Knowledge
  • Strong Windows skills and working knowledge of Linux systems.
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills

Great if you also have experience with:

  • PostgreSQL
  • Docker
  • ECS
  • Working with GIT and Azure DevOps (TFS)
  • Experience managing and deploying monitoring and logging systems is desirable. ELK, Prometheus, Kafka, Zabbix.
  • .Net/C#
  • Python
