Our Platform Engineering Team is a multi-disciplinary mixed team including SysOps, DevOps, DBA and Data Engineer talented professionals, collaborating together to help our product teams to design, build and scale their infrastructure, services and Data Stack to support millions of hits per hour: big volumes = big challenges. What will you do?
- Line management of the members of our Platform team, including SRE’s, Devops, Dataops and DBA’s.
- Manage and organize the Platform team projects and tasks: gather requirements and identify needs, prioritization, planning and delivery.
- Own the Platform backlog.
- Review and negotiation of third party services (SaaS) for the company.
- Own a set of ongoing operational tasks: handle on-call schedule and payoff, SaaS cost attribution for finance, AWS accounts management etc.
Requirements
- 3+ years of technical project management experience - good organizational, analytical and budget management skills.
- Experience directly managing technical roles.
- Excellent communication skills, tech and non-tech.
- Experience negotiating SaaS contracts.
- Software engineering background.
- Good understanding of systems infrastructure, AWS, Infra as Code, VM’s vs containers, databases, application servers, data pipelines, serverless, networking, stability and scalability concerns; the more the better.
Extra points
- Hands-on experience with: Golang, CircleCI, AWS (EC2, RDS, SNS, SQS, Lambda, S3, Athena, Redshift), Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS), Helm, Apache NiFi.
- Experience configuring and managing: PagerDuty, Datadog, Pingdom, DockerHub, GitHub, CloudFlare.
- Experience designing software services.
