Job Description

Our Crisis and Security Consulting teams provide expert operations and cyber security consulting, including embedded security services, enabling clients to respond to and recover from threats to people, reputation and assets. Working within our Crisis and Security Consulting team this role will play a key contribution in helping to form a strong partnership with the CSC European team to drive long term, sustainable growth for Crisis Management Consulting in Spain, UK and Europe.

Role Purpose

The primary focus of the role is to support project management, direct client delivery and business development in Spain. In addition, the role will support client delivery in UK and Europe as required. It requires fluency in Spanish, commercial and technical knowledge, along with direct relevant experience of delivering across Crisis, Security and Risk disciplines.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Client delivery
  • Delivery, management and coordination of all crisis management related consulting tasks, with particular emphasis building sustainable, long-term client relationships
  • Service multiple consultancy assignments concurrently working in collaboration with service line leads to utilise regional resources as necessary
  • Support the development of innovative consulting products and services that address client need, and that help maintain Control Risks at the forefront of the sector.

Project management
  • Responsibility for achieving practice area financial targets set in Spain and across the Crisis Management practice area
  • In conjunction with the Finance Manager and CSC Management ensure accurate and timely forecasting
  • Manage and drive the commercial and quality aspects of client projects
  • Ensure all projects are being delivered on time and in budget
  • Project and resource planning where required to maximise utilisation, working closely with EMEA colleagues

Business development
  • Hold meaningful client relationships that directly contribute to individual sales and service line targets
  • Overall responsibility for Spanish client proposals, whilst additionally supporting business development in the UK and Europe more broadly
  • Maintain, build and develop a strong network of existing and future client contacts and consistently develop the company’s positioning with them to enhance business development and secure higher fee-earning engagements.
  • Become involved in the dynamic account management environment in conjunction with the management team and global Markets amp; Partner Team colleagues

Requirements

  • Successful management of risk and resilience consultancy projects in Spain, coupled with an understanding of the requirements for delivering services in complex or high-risk environments
  • Relevant work experience in crisis management, corporate security, and/or commercial risk management is essential
  • Full professional proficiency in Spanish and English both written and spoken is essential
  • Demonstrable depth and breadth of understanding of risk management, business resilience, and the dynamics of a consultancy practice
  • Proven experience of successfully working within teams to reach the strategic and operational goals
  • Commercially astute when planning and pricing project in terms of time, resource and outcomes
  • Relevant role of having successfully built effective and strong client relationships
  • Master’s degree or advanced diploma in risk management or security related field would be advantageous
  • Project management skills within a commercial/consulting environment
  • Strong commercial focus (financial management skills, legal and contractual skills) and leadership
  • Good client (both internal amp; external) management and consulting skills
  • People leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and drive the performance of a team of security professionals
  • Strong interpersonal skills building trust amp; rapport
  • Excellent communication skills written amp; oral (informal and presentation to board level)
