This role will be part of KantanAI team. KantanAI is a pioneer in Neural Machine Translations solutions. Its market leading platform, KantanMT, enables global organizations to customize, improve and deploy Neural MT solutions at scale. Their KantanStream platform enables modern enterprises to deliver digital content in native languages with always-on, AI enhanced, crowd- sources translation services. KantanStream combines the speed and cost-benefits of machine translation with the authenticity and precision that only a native speaker can deliver.
Job Summary
As an Automation Developer at KantanAI, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our cutting-edge translation platforms and enhancing our suite of AI-driven language services. You will collaborate closely with the Technical Programme Manager, Localisation Engineers, and Software Developers to design, develop, and deploy cloud-based solutions that power our industry-leading products. Your expertise will be instrumental in crafting translation workflows that simplify and optimize the localization workflow, through the use of automation.
Detailed responsibilities are:
- Collaborate with developers to design and create cloud-based solutions for KantanAI's language platforms.
- Produce efficient, clean, and well-structured code based on project specifications.
- Troubleshoot and debug existing software, implementing necessary upgrades and enhancements.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation for reference and reporting purposes.
- Stay up to date with the latest tools/technology.
- Creating flexible automation components that fit into the translation workflows.
Requirements
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven track record as a software developer/engineer, with 5+ years of experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Localisation Engineer
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Proficiency in at least two of the following coding languages and frameworks: PHP, C#, C++, Python, PERL, JavaScript, JQUERY, NODE.JS, MS Visual Basic.
- Working knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong grasp of localization principles and workflows.
- In-depth understanding of localization file formats, including XLIFF.
- Experience in using Computer-Aided Translation (CAT) tools.
- Comfortable with API creation and integration.
- Experience in Power Automate.
