About the role
As a Mid-level iOS Engineer at APG, you will be part of a team who are responsible for creating an exceptional personalized gifting experience for our customers. Your engineering expertise will be vital in developing and maintaining our iOS apps within a flexible and forward-thinking environment.
Working in a close-knit team environment cross-functional team that fosters collaboration and innovation, your ownership and expertise will enable regular app shipments, further solidifying our position as a leading personalized gifting platform in the market.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain our cutting-edge iOS apps, bringing delightful gifting experiences to millions of users, using Swift, SwiftUI amp; MVVM
- Regularly ship apps, seizing the opportunity to influence the app's direction in an environment that encourages innovation and creativity.
- Collaborate with a tight-knit, cross-functional team, where knowledge sharing is highly valued and supported.
- Ensure all code is tested to the appropriate standards to allow us to ship regularly.
- Follow and promote the use of the highest coding standards in our dynamic engineering environment.
Impact and Contributions:
- Your contributions will help shape the success of our mobile apps team and the overall experience of our customers.
- You will directly impact the seamless and efficient delivery of our mobile platform.
- Your ownership and expertise will enable regular app shipments, further solidifying our position as a leading personalized gifting platform in the market.
- You’ll active participation in UI/UX Design, mobile development, backend development, and more
Experience and Attributes we’d like to see:
- Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C, with a focus on Swift as the primary language for iOS development.
- Strong understanding of the iOS SDK, including UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, Core Animation, and other key frameworks.
- Experience with version control systems like Git, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
- Ability to design user interfaces using Auto Layout and Interface Builder or SwiftUI. Proficiency in debugging techniques and tools to identify and fix issues within the app.
- Experience with dependency management tools to integrate third-party libraries into projects.
- Participation in code reviews, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Skilled in writing clear and concise technical documentation for code, APIs, and processes.
- Comfortable working with a co-located team across multiple countries
Nice to Have Experience:
- GraphQL (Apollo), Google Firebase, AppsFlyer.
- Automating the build and release process.
- Experience with Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
