Role outline

Have focus on the back-end development of our product, also having impact on front end elements, driving engineering delivery as part of the team. You will work closely with our talented engineering team and product owners to deliver a high quality product. Working in a small and agile team your work will make an impact.

Responsibilities

• Work with a small but driven team on quarterly OKRs, focusing on driving the back-end of our product.
• Some elements of your work will have an impact on the front-end.
• Research and estimate tasks to allow reliable planning and delivery in sprints.
• Build our product together with your colleagues and the Product Owner. Think outside the box (the task), and proactively create tasks for issues and improvements you spot while working on the product.
• Work on and resolve issues independently and as a team - Fluid and frequent Communication is Key!
• Perform basic QA on your finished tasks.
• Be vocal about your view on the product and the technology - we welcome your input.
• As everyone in the team, take your part in a rotating on-call schedule.
• Take part in regular knowledge sharing sessions across the engineering team.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience working on the back-end side with previous exposure to front-end in a dynamic SaaS environment.
• Strong experience in PHP, Unit Testing, DDD.
• True TDD a plus.
• Interest in Clean Code (coupling/cohesion, SOLID).
• Experience with PHP frameworks.
• Frontend knowledge (React, CSS).
• Experience with Databases (MySQL, MongoDB).
• Experience in Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Redis, Terraform)
• DevOps experience a plus.
• Proactive attitude to identifying and reporting issues while working on task delivery.
• A clear learning mindset.
• You are comfortable researching new technologies and/or looking for the optimal solution.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken, is a must.
